Additional Events and Details Announced for World Standards Week 2012

(ANSI: Washington, D.C.) -- The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) has announced updated details for a number of events of World Standards Week (WSW) 2012. To be held Oct. 9–12, 2012, WSW is an annual event where members of the standards and conformity assessment community come together in the spirit of cooperation and collaboration.

Updated information is now available for this year’s Open Forum, Legal Issues Forum, and Networking Breakfast and Student Workshop. In addition, a new-member orientation has been added to the lineup on Wed., Oct. 10. Pre-registration is required for all events and can be done on the WSW website.

All events will be held at the Newseum in Washington, D.C., unless otherwise noted. Detailed venue and accommodation information is posted here.

A room block is available at the Hotel Monaco for Mon., Oct. 8, through Thurs., Oct. 11, for a discounted rate of $309/night, plus tax. This rate includes complimentary in-room wireless Internet. To make your reservation, call central reservations at (877) 202–5411. Be sure to mention American National Standards Institute to obtain the discounted rate. All reservations must be made by Wed., Sept. 5. Availability and rate are not guaranteed for reservations made after this date.
