WCBF to Hold Six Sigma in Financial Services Conference

Worldwide Conventions and Business Forums has scheduled its 2004 "Successfully Implementing Six Sigma in Financial Services" conference.

The conference, which is generally regarded as the preeminent Six Sigma conference for the financial service industry, will be held June 23 and 24 at the Westin New York Hotel at Times Square in New York. Preconference workshops will also be offered on June 22nd. Experts will meet to reveal how Six Sigma is driving sustained improvements in productivity, customer satisfaction and loyalty in order to reduce costs and increase revenue and profit.

Guillermo Kopp, the director of the financial services strategies and information technology investment practice at TowerGroup, will open the conference with his presentation, "The Future For Six Sigma in Financial Services." Kopp will share TowerGroupÂ’s research and highlight critical success factors that enable business transformations. He will also explore how improved processes are pivotal components of the customer experience. In particular, Kopp will discuss industry drivers, the voice of the customer, organizational culture, translating customer satisfaction into bottom-line benefits and the future of Six Sigma in financial services.

Attendees may choose from five separately bookable preconference workshops, a 90-minute expert panel and an agenda of sessions addressing the following issues:

  • How lean Six Sigma affects financial services
  • Talent development and Six Sigma
  • Governance: running and sustaining Six Sigma
  • Enabling technology for deployment success
  • Change management from theory to practice
  • How to secure executive/sponsor buy-in
