Excel Partnership Milestone: Third RAB Accreditation

Published: Monday, July 26, 2004 - 21:00

Excel Partnership recently announced that it’s the first and only organization to have all three AS9100 courses for the aerospace industry accredited by the Registrar Accreditation Board.

The company’s accredited offerings will make it easier for industry employees to receive and maintain the registration that many are required to have, reports Ben Tuley, senior AS9100 instructor and Excel Partnership consultant. “Many workers and managers in the aerospace arena struggle to differentiate between an AS9100 auditor, an Aerospace Experience Auditor and an Aerospace Industry Experience Auditor and to understand the full implications of related documents such as AIR5359 and AIR5493. All our AS9100 courses address these questions, eliminating confusion and bringing clarity to our customers.”

Excel Partnership’s three RAB-accredited courses are:

  • Aerospace Industry Competency Course—Intended for auditors who want to become AEAs but don’t have four years in the last 10 years work experience in the industry, as defined by AIR5359. The course is intended for those who will lead the AS9100 registration or compliance effort in their company.
  • Implementing and Transitioning to AS9100—A two-day course that is the starting point for understanding the direction in which the AS9100 standard and associated documents are moving.
  • AS9100 Standard Lead Auditor Training—Intended for the auditor who wants to become an AEA but hasn’t successfully completed an RAB-accredited or OEM-approved ISO 9000-based auditor course.
