Renishaw PH20 Probe Head Now Integrated with Metrologic’s Product Line

Connects with Metrolog XG software and Universal ME 5009 DCC controller

Published: Tuesday, November 22, 2011 - 16:39

(Metrologic Group: Meylan, France) -- Metrologic Group, which designs, manufactures, and markets 3-D inspection software and dimensional control systems, has just completed the full integration of the Renishaw PH20 Probe Head with Metrologic’s electronic systems and software, providing the highest level of integration to any coordinate measuring machine (CMM). This is not only a basic interface, but also a complete and direct integration of the PH20 five-axis measuring system with Metrolog XG software and the Universal ME 5009 DCC controller, which is simple, efficient, and reliable.

Metrologic’s advanced proprietary communication and calibration algorithms ensure optimal probing speed and reduced measuring time, while the software connectivity guarantee quick turnaround in part program creation and increase productivity.

“This breakthrough is another significant development that shows the capacity of Metrologic Group to adapt to the latest technologies and provide the market with fully integrated tools,” says Philippe Cimadomo, president and CEO of Metrologic Group. “We now have the only independent solution—and I believe the easiest to use on the market—that allows any CMM to easily benefit from the latest PH20 Probe Head technology together with Metrolog XG 3-D inspection software.”

Upgrades for existing customers couldn’t be easier because it’s simply an expansion board ready to be inserted in any ME5009 DCC controller.
