Published: Monday, March 15, 2021 - 14:37 (Adaptive 3D: Plano, TX) -- Long costly development cycles, "boat-loads" of over-seas inventory, and generic injection molded designs were the challenges facing Dustless Technologies. Additive manufacturing offered a roadmap, but materials properties were weak and production throughputs were low causing high cost. Adaptive3D's Elastic ToughRubber provided the materials properties to withstand construction environments in hot and cold temperatures. Top-down DLP printing delivered the throughput speeds and low cost of production for a product ready to go to market. In this webinar Dustless Technologies CEO Spencer Loveless and Adaptive3D CEO Walter Voit, PhD describe this innovative product and how Additive Manufacturing of photoelastomers delivers a competitive advantage. About the Speakers: Dr. Voit is on the Executive Committee and the Science and Technology Chair of the Council on Ionizing Radiation Measurements and Standards through the National Institute of Standards and Technology and an International Atomic Energy Agency consultant in the field of radiation crosslinked shape memory polymers. Voit is a DARPA Young Faculty Awardee and DARPA Director’s Fellow and works closely with industry including Texas Instruments, GlaxoSmithKline, Halliburton and Honeywell. Voit has authored more than 75 manuscripts and book chapters, is inventor on multiple patents and enjoys basketball, soccer, snowboarding, rafting, hiking, reading, parenting and travelling. Loveless lives in Price, UT with his wife and 5 energetic boys. They love traveling around enjoying the beautiful state of Utah.
