(Sokkia Corp.: Olathe, KS) -- The SHC236 data collector from Sokkia Corp., a leading manufacturer of precision measurement systems, is designed with advanced technology features for handheld data collection.

“The SHC236 is a powerful handheld data collector with all the features needed to compete in today’s market,” says Ed Castelan, product marketing manager for survey products. “The SSF [spectrum survey field] runs extremely fast on this device, and it will support any Sokkia software. It has a Microsoft Windows MobileR operating system, 806 MHz processor, 4 GB of memory, and 256 MB of RAM as well as Bluetooth wireless and cellular connectivity, and a 3MP autofocus camera.

The collector is designed for dependability under extreme weather conditions and environments, and for everyday use.

“It’s rugged, fast, and with features like the built-in camera, it will truly make a difference in the time and quality of data collection,” adds Castelan.
